Me and My Puppy

We were both a lot younger back then.

Young Molly

This is the Supreme Pie Lord when she was younger.

She, too, had a lot of fun playing with Muffin.

She had a bit more color on her nose back then.

She was also a bit thinner.

And a few years younger as well.

But I've only grown to love her more as the years have past.

I love you, lil one. <3

Muffin as a Puppy

When my Spaniel was young, she was tiny enough to fit into doll clothes.

I'm not sure if she enjoyed getting dressed up, but she tolerated it pretty well.

She was a bit camera-shy, though.

She loved cuddling up between her big sisters.

She was even cuter back then than she is now.

The Anatomy of a Dog

Dogs have three main body structures: mouths (most often used for eating everything, including dust, hair, and furniture, then licking humans with slobbery stinky feet breath), hearts (used to express their fondness for their human companions and for furniture), and claws (typically used to destroy said furniture after the inevitable break-up.)

You can see this illustrated in the diagram below. 

Happiness

Dogs have an amazing ability to cheer up their owners in times of darkness and to teach us all about peace, joy, and contentment. 

Peace

This photograph of Bear always makes me smile. Out of all of our dogs, she's always the one to seek out the nearest sunbeam for a quick lie-down.

Joy

In the summertime, we grow berry bushes. This is a picture of Muffin after guiltlessly stealing a tasty raspberry.

Contentment

Molly is content with the simpler things in life. She's a clever little dog who knows how to pick a lock and could probably figure out how to get onto the countertops if she set her mind to it, but her talents generally make us laugh rather than inspiring anger. She's playful, too, but even with her medication she cannot exert herself too much or she'll start to wheeze. She can't run with the other dogs or play tug-o-war for more than a minute or so, but she's never let it stop her from finding other ways of entertaining herself - like sitting on top of Bear and spilling her food bowl all over the floor and down the stairs. Her two favorite things in life are food and family, and there she is at the dinner table with me, content in our togetherness and in the possibility that she might get some veggie scraps out of the deal.

I Love My Dogs

I love my dogs a lot. I spoil them rotten with toys and treats and pets and cuddles. I'm one of those people who think that they've achieved a special level of understanding with their pets. To me, they're not just animals. They're my babies. They're my little puppies, no matter how old they grow. Ultimately, they're family.

Canines and Fur Coats

Most of the time, your dog's natural coat of fur will be enough to keep her warm in the cold. Other times, not so much. Here is what my living room looked like the morning after a blizzard. 

Dress Up

Some pets loved being dressed up and fawned over how cute they look in their tiny outfits. My little one was so excited she could hardly sit still for the photograph!

Other pets hate the very thought of wearing clothes. My other three are like that, so we limit dress up time to a bare minimum. And by a bare minimum, I mean that we put them in coats when it's -15 degrees outside. 

That doesn't mean you can't fulfill your dreams of seeing your kitty as Father Christmas or as an old-fashioned Aviator. Just leave the clothes behind and get yourself some free editing software to transform your feline friend into the super hero he secretly is.
